Questions, answered plainly
The things people ask us most, about moving around Shepherd’s Bush and heading abroad. If yours isn’t here, just ask — we’d rather tell you straight than leave you guessing.
Everything people ask us
What areas do you cover around Shepherd’s Bush?
W12 end to end — Shepherd’s Bush Green, White City, Shepherd’s Bush Market, Wood Lane and Askew Road. We’ll happily quote moves that start or finish just over the border in Hammersmith (W6) or Notting Hill (W11) as well.
Do you do house removals in Shepherd’s Bush?
House and flat moves are the core of what we do — from a Victorian terrace off the Uxbridge Road to a mansion flat near the Green or a new-build apartment in White City. We match the crew and van to the property, pack as much or as little as you like, and rebuild furniture at the other end.
Can you help with a rented flat move and the tenancy end?
Yes — end-of-tenancy moves are common in W12. We work to your check-out date, protect the place so you get the deposit back cleanly, and can fold in packing if you’re short on time. Tell us the date and access and we’ll plan around it.
Do you do student moves near the university and White City?
We do. A room or a shared house — around White City, the Uxbridge Road or towards Hammersmith — is welcome. It’s a smaller crew and the right-sized van, in and out without the fuss of a full house move.
Can you move an office or business in W12?
Yes — we move offices and small businesses around Shepherd’s Bush Green, the Uxbridge Road and White City. We plan the sequence so IT and desks come apart and go back together in the right order, and we can work evenings or a weekend to keep your trading week intact.
Do you offer storage?
We do. If your dates don’t line up — the tenancy ends before the new place is ready, or a purchase slips — we can store your things in a clean, secure unit and bring them out when you’re ready. It’s handled by the same team, so it’s one plan throughout.
Can you pack for me?
The whole home or just the parts you’d rather not tackle — the kitchen and the breakables are the usual ones. Everything is boxed with proper materials, labelled by room, and listed on an inventory so nothing goes missing between the two ends.
What about parking and the controlled parking zones?
Much of W12 is a CPZ and the terraces near the Green can be tight. We check what permit or bay suspension the job needs and sort it before the day, so there’s a legal place to load close to your door rather than a long carry.
Which European countries do you move to from Shepherd’s Bush?
France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. Each is a road-planned move — loaded in W12, out via the A40 and M25 to the Channel crossings, then on to the destination. We prepare the post-Brexit customs paperwork so your things clear cleanly at the border.
How do you handle customs on a European move?
We prepare the inventory and the transit and customs documents a household move now needs, and file them for you. Timing at the border depends on the route and the paperwork rather than a fixed schedule, and your written quote sets out what to expect for your particular move.
Do I have to be there on the day?
Ideally someone is, at both ends, to point out what goes where and check things off. If that’s genuinely not possible we can talk through other arrangements, but a move always runs better with someone who knows the place on hand.
What if I need to change the date?
Tell us as early as you can and we’ll do our best to move things around. Weekends and month-end fill up first, so a bit of notice gives us the most room to help. The specifics of any deposit or rescheduling sit in the booking terms.
Didn’t find your answer?
Send us your move and any questions with it. We’ll come back promptly with a clear, itemised quote and the answers you need.
